Plant Turnaround.....

Small Reminder :
Don't feel deprived as long as you have a loaf of bread, a glass of water, and clothes on your back..you should never complain.

As long as you have life's basic necessities, so don't be sad. If not, it will drive you to become stress, anxiety, nervous tension and cause the heart disease.

It was mentioned  that the number of doctors who die of heart attacks is 20 times more than the number of farmers who die on the same cause. On the other hand, doctors (or professionals/corporates) live atough and stressfilled life, for which they pay a heavy price.

Say: O you mankind! Now truth (i.e. the Quraan and Prophet Muhammad), has come to you from your Lord. So whosoever receives guidance, he does so for the good of his own self; and whosoever goes astray, he does so to his own loss; and I am not (set) over you as a Wakeel (disposer of affairs to oblige you for guidance) [Yunus 10:108]

Small reminder....

The Mesengger of Allah (saw) said :

"Be in this world as if you were a stranger. If you survive until the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive until the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening.

Take from your health for your sickness, and take from your life for your death"

Men at Forty...

Welcome new year...welcome 2011!!!

Welcome to the year when my age will reach 40...

"A person is always startled when he hears himself seriously called an old man for the first time."  ~Oliver W. Holmes, Sr.

I believed that most of us who has reached age at forty experience this feeling. When we go to the market or restaurant, the waiter or cashier will start asking you with this  ..." Pakcik,pakcik...bla,bla!!" Then we realized that we are in old man club already. Last few years, may be we still have been called "Bang, bang...”.    Worst when you hold your small kid at the hypermarket and somebody asking you "Cutenyer budak ni...cucu ke?" lol...

Here are some quotes  related to 40:

Before thirty, men seek disease; after thirty, diseases seek men. ..

It's hard to feel middle-aged, because how can you tell how long you are going to live?  ..
Does age poison us, or do we poison age? ...

Forty is the old age of youth; fifty is the youth of old age.

Forty isn’t old, if you’re a tree

Life begins at forty.

Be wise with speed; A fool at forty is a fool indeed.

To me, old age is always 15 years older than I am.

At 20 years of age the will reigns; at 30 the wit; at 40 the judgement.

You’re not 40, you’re eighteen with 22 years experience.

What most persons consider as virtue, after the age of 40 is simply a loss of energy.

The “I just woke up” face of your 30’s is the “all day long” face of your 40’s
At the age of 20, we don’t care what the world thinks of us; at 30, we worry about what it is thinking of us; at 40, we discover that it wasn’t thinking of us at all.

Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young...

The secret to staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age...

No wise man ever wished to be younger...

Happiness is good health and a bad memory...

40 is just a fancy word for old timer...

Too young for medicare, too old for men to care…

People don’t turn forty. They turn 39.95 plus shipping and handling...

40 is when your body gives your brain a list of things it’s not going to do anymore...

My dear friends,

Let quote be as a qoute...

The most important for us, we thankful to Allah for every thing we have. Allah gave us 40 years to look around and study His signs, and to come to a conclusion by the age of 40 that He is our only Lord and Master, and submit to Him. As a muslim, the age 40 is referred as the maturity age in the Qur’an. Our Prophet ( Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. revealed his Prophethood also at age of 40 years as instructed by Allah s.w.t.

In Surat-Al-Ahkaf (verse 15), a believer at his maturity age prays for being a grateful person:

“We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, “O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favor which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou may approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to You) in Islam.” (Al-Ahqaf, 15)

Make sure your thankful to Allah (swt) this day and every day... InsyaAllah!

If you ask me about love

And what i know about it

My answer would be....

It’s everything about Allah

The pure love, to our souls

The creator of you and me,the heaven and whole universe

The one that made us whole and free

The guardian of HIS true believers

So when the time is hard

There’s no way to turn

As HE promise HE will always be there

To bless us with HIS love and HIS mercy

Coz, as HE promise HE will always be there

HE’s always watching us, guiding us

So when the time is hard

There’s no way to turn

As HE promise HE will always be there

To bless us with HIS love and HIS mercy

Coz, as HE promise HE will always be there

HE’s always watching us, guiding us

And HE knows what’s in all in our heart

So when you lose your way

To Allah you should turn

As HE promise HE will always be there…

HE bring ourselves from the darkness into the light

Subhanallah praise belongs to YOU for everything

Shouldn’t never feel afraid of anything

As long as we follow HIS guidance all the way

Through the short time we have in this life

Soon it all’ll be over

And we’ll be in His heaven and we’ll all be fine

So when the time gets hard

There’s no way to turn

As HE promise He will always be there

To bless us with HIS love and HIS mercy

Coz, as HE promise HE will always be there

HE’s always watching us, guiding us

And HE knows what’s in all in our heart

So when you lose your way

To Allah you should turn

As HE promise HE will always be there…

Allahu Akbar…

So when the time gets hard

There’s no way to turn

As HE promise He will always be there

To bless us with HIS love and HIS mercy

Coz, as HE promise HE will always be there

HE’s always watching us, guiding us

And he knows what’s in all in our heart

So when you lose your way

To Allah you should turn

As HE promise HE will always be there…

Allahu Akbar…

Kenneth E. Heselton has written in his book 'Boiler Operator’s Handbook' :

"There are two basic types of personel at works, those that put in their eight hours on job while doing as little as possible and those that are proud of their profession and do their best to keep their plant in top shape and running order. You must be one of the latter and you should take pride in that alone."

To Improve memory....

Several guidelines to improve my memory

To exercising my brain, there are some basic things I can do to improve my ability to retain and retrieve memories:
  1. Pay attention.
  2. Tailor information acquisition to my learning style.
  3. Involve as many senses as possible.
  4. Relate information to what I already know.
  5. Organize information.
  6. Understand and be able to interpret complex material.
  7. Rehearse information frequently and “over-learn”.
  8. Be motivated and keep a positive attitude.
Healthy Habits that Improve my Memory
Regular exercise
  • Increases oxygen to brain.
  • Reduces the risk for disorders that lead to memory loss, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
  • May enhance the effects of helpful brain chemicals and protect brain cells.
Managing stress
  • Cortisol, the stress hormone, can damage the hippocampus if the stress is unrelieved.
  • Stress makes it difficult to concentrate.
Good sleep habits
  • Sleep is necessary for memory consolidation.
  • Sleep disorders like insomnia and sleep apnea leave you tired and unable to concentrate during the day.
Not smoking
  • Smoking heightens the risk of vascular disorders that can cause stroke and constrict arteries that deliver oxygen to the brain.

Nutrition and Memory improvement

A diet based on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and “healthy” fats will provide lots of health benefits, but such a diet can also improve memory.
  • B vitamins, especially B6, B12, and folic acid. They’re also involved in making red blood cells, which carry oxygen. (Best sources: spinach and other dark leafy greens, broccoli, asparagus, strawberries, melons, black beans and other legumes, citrus fruits, soybeans.)
  • Antioxidants like vitamins C and E, and beta carotene, fight free radicals, which are atoms formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules. Free radicals are highly reactive and can damage cells, but antioxidants can interact with them safely and neutralize them. Antioxidants also improve the flow of oxygen through the body and brain. (Best sources: blueberries and other berries, sweet potatoes, red tomatoes, spinach, broccoli, green tea, nuts and seeds, citrus fruits, liver.)
  • Omega-3 fatty acids are concentrated in the brain and are associated with cognitive function. They count as “healthy” fats, as opposed to saturated fats and trans fats, protecting against inflammation and high cholesterol. (Best sources: cold-water fish such as salmon, herring, tuna, halibut, and mackerel; walnuts and walnut oil; flaxseed and flaxseed oil)
Because older adults are more prone to B12 and folic acid deficiencies, a supplement may be a good idea for seniors. An omega-3 supplement (at any age) if you don’t like eating fish. But nutrients work best when they’re consumed in foods, so try your best to eat a broad spectrum of colorful plant foods and choose fats that will help clear, not clog, your arteries. Your brain will thank you!

VUCA ....D-Day 2010

Yesterday, I attend The Company D-Day or Deployment Day for year 2010 which had been held at Vistana Hotel, Kuantan. The main objective of this program is for the top management to share and deliver the 2010 vision and the mission to all the employees.

There were such a great, amazing presentations and workshops given by Chairman, General Manager, Plant Manager and respective leaders that inspired me. Here, I just noted one word from the bundle of them.

Plant Manager said :

“Presently, we are living in VUCA environment”

I tried to find the meaning of word Vuca but the result vuca was not found in the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary. But, one website notes that VUCA is a military term used to describe environments criteria.

Actually, VUCA stand for V- Volatility, U-Uncertainty, C-Complexity, and A-Ambiguity.

That’s mean the industry are challenged with all the VUCA threat. To survive, we have to change and always be positive. Then, we must convert VUCA with new VUCA. It reminds me that the doctor heal the snake bite with the snake serum ..hehe, make sense also!!!

So, new VUCA is V- Vision, U- Understanding, C- Clarity, and A- Agility.

It was half day program and after lunch we have simple game for team building. Then...at the end of the session, every body was given adidas voucher worth RM170 and one mini ball (replica of South Africa Word Cup 2010-worth RM80)....kira okay la.

My Last Day..10 October 2009

Finally, on 10 October 2009, my day with this company has come to an end.

It’s very sad to be saying goodbye to this company and to Managing Director, Mr. Steven. But at the same time I know that I was leaving in good shape and going now for 'greener grass'.
I do want to tell Mr. Steven how much I have appreciated of giving me the opportunity to contribute for this company. I have learned some of the things from you that make me more confident to face for a greater challange in the future.
And for all the staffs - your support, cooperation, fun and laughter, tear and sadness, desire e.t.c.– I think that’s what I am going to miss most!. I would like to wish you all the very best.

Flying Without Wings

Recently, I try to understand what is the real meaning of my blog's title "Flying Without Wings". Then, I asked myself " Can somebody fly without wing..? How to fly without wings..? The answer is impossible. So, why this sentence is used for...? For example, I found this lyrics of the song by Westlife (...Opps! Sorry. I'm not the fan of Westlife,..never, but because it has a similarity with my blog title).

FLYING WITHOUT WINGS - WESTLIFE

Everybody's looking for that something
One thing that makes it all complete
You'll find it in the strangest places
Places you never knew it could be

Some find it in the face of their children
Some find it in their lover's eyes
Who can deny the joy it brings
When you've found that special thing?
You're flying without wings

Some find it sharing every morning
Some in their solitary lives
You'll find it in the words of others
A simple line can make you laugh or cry

You'll find it in the deepest friendship
The kind you cherish all your life
And when you know how much that means
You've found that special thing
You're flying without wings....

This is only part of the lyric. So, I can make a conclusion that "Flying Without Wings" is not about the real action, but the feeling at one moment in time that will bring us happiness.    .........to be continued.
